General features
Cellulosic thinners or similar solvents are known as organic solvents and have a pungent chemical odour. They are especially used for thinning or cleaning materials such as paint and varnish. They generally have a lower density than water. They provide fast drying due to their fast evaporation properties. They are flammable, so they should be used with caution.

Usage areas
Cellulosic thinner can be used to allow the paint or varnish to dry quickly by evaporating from the applied surface. It can also be used to thin, clean or adjust paint or varnish to different viscosity levels. Such solvents are generally known for their fast drying and low residue leaving properties.
Safety Precautions and Toxicity
It contains flammable, volatile and substances that may pose a health risk due to inhalation exposure. Care should be taken and appropriate safety precautions should be taken when handling such substances.
